I update this site with Garran's status as much as possible, but there are no RSS feeds for this site. It does send email updates to subscribers of his journal but thats about the entent of it.

- Garran was born with Cystic Fibrosis,and was diagnosed at 2 months old.He spent much of his young life in the hospital as he has a particularly severe case of CF.With numerous pneumonias,Garran's lungs have become extremely damaged over the years.He now requires a double lung transplant.His Right Lung is no longer working.His left lung is quickly declining. He is on 24 hour a day O2.In the past 9 months Garran has spent over 4 months accumulated in the hospital.Starting On Christmas Morning 2007 Garran was Admitted to the PICU with Respiratory Failure and spent over a month recovering on a ventilator.In that visit,his kidneys failed and he wound up having a peritoneal catheter placed for dialysis and then removed a week later when his kidneys began working again.In April he was admitted again for two weeks, and then in June for two weeks, then in July his Right Lung Collapsed Completely and he was airlifted to UNC where he was already being evaluated for lung transplant.This admission he spent 35 days and was discharged on August 12th.He was listed for Transplant (tx) on July 18 2008.
